Ingredients

  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1-3/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 3/4 cup Cocoa
  • 1-1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1-1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Boiling Water

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans
  3. Combine dry ingredients in large bowl
  4. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla
  5. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes
  6. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin)
  7. Pour into pans
  8. Bake 30-35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean
  9. Cool 10 minutes
  10. Remove from pans into wire racks
  11. Cool completely
